THIS WEEK (Back up to date)

The Looong Weekend:

So we got a long weekend at DVA.  We were suppose to have a work day on Friday, but our kind principle decided to give us an extra day of play, compared to professional development.  Thanks Mrs. Weigel!

So our work week ended on Thursday where we had a half day of kids and half day of staff play-day.
3rd Grade Team
3rd grade (with some photoshop work too!)

We then had 4 days of weekend starting on Friday and ending on Monday (today).  Saturday I went to a Valley Fair type place called "Knots Berry Farm" which has nothing to do with berries....It was fun but very hot day.  We went to Cali but it was still about 100 out.  SO the log ride became my favorite ride from that!  Sunday and Monday were just resting days and getting ready for the kids on Tuesday!

Sorry for the Delay (Yes, I am alive and well)

Sorry for not posting in about a week! It was a very fun, yet busy past two weeks now.

This is an entry from last week, so enjoy this, but know it is for the previous week (that I wrote on the plane while flying so I couldn't post it and then forgot about it...)

Begin entry from 2 weeks ago:

One big aspect that happened was the SUBPLANS.  For those of you teaching, you understand.  For those of you who don't, you will never understand the stress, the work, and the overall fear about handing your 20some students, all filled with differ personalities and behaviors, over to someone else.  I think it will be okay, but I've found I'm very protective and fond of my students.  It will be so hard to leave them and see them go to 4th grade!

End of the quarter...

So this week is the end of our first quarter...What.  It feels like we just got to school! Time flies! I never thought that it would go so quickly.  But it did.  It's also a time where I am excited to be done with all the mistakes and poor choices of organizing my grades, documents, and life, and to start a fresh quarter.

I have finally arrived at the place where I feel like a teacher.  I know the plans, how to read them, and how to teach them. That said, I've made some bad lessons, and know where I still need to work in.  In it all, I am happy for the victories and simply surviving the first year teaching! Or, first quarter!

Minnesota Journey.

So last weekend (still in the past, sorry) I went to MN for my grandmother's memorial service.  In that, I was back for only a few days and so it was a good trip (besides the circumstances) but everything went very well.  In that, I found that visiting friends, family, and seeing old stomping grounds was a very enjoyable time.  I am sad that I couldn't see everyone, but I really wanted to make sure most of my time was spent with family.  That is in a way, why I haven't posted in a while (I wanted to keep my plans secret).  Anyways, sorry if you felt you should have seen me, I will have time in Thanksgiving to do so.  I've been back in Yuma for awhile now so back to the 100 degree weather and sun!
